Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is available now on Disney+, and fans can experience the descent into alternate realities whenever they want. The film has a lot going for it, and among them is the return of Wanda’s children: Billy and Tommy Maximoff. The two were last seen in Wanda Visionwhere they were nominally erased from existence when Westview passed out.
But in the new MCU adventure, audiences catch up with them in an entirely different universe where their mother hasn’t started a murderous rampage, at least.
In the comics, both children are born with strong meta-human abilities, likely in part because their mother is the Scarlet Witch herself. Tommy has super speed while Billy’s Wiccan has powers close to his mother: magical abilities, astral project, force field generation and much more.
Their roles in Multiverse of Madness maybe not many, but the characters’ future in the MCU has been teased through prophetic statuses.
Now, thanks to some behind-the-scenes footage, fans can get a glimpse of how the giant works of art were created, especially those of Billy’s Wiccan and Wanda’s Scarlet Witch.
Wiccan teased across the multiverse
Jonny Moore, a sculptor in the film industry, has released new photos of some of the work he has done for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on his Instagram.
One of the works he did was that of Billy Maximoff by Julian Hillard, aka Wiccan:

The statue can be seen in detail, fully painted and weathered, in the final film:
Attached to images of Wanda’s child, the artist noted how he and his “crack team of carvers” work “on and off through interlocks:”
“A relief by Julian Hillard that I did for Dr Strange in 2021. I was in charge of a team of elite sculptors working occasionally during lockdowns.”
For comparison, here’s what Hillard looked like in his Wiccan Halloween costume during Wanda Visionthe sixth episode of:
It looks extremely similar to what the Wiccan costume looks like in the comics:
Moore and her team also worked on the massive sculpture of the Scarlet Witch herself at Mount Wundagore:

Then there’s a look at his ominous statue before most paint applications:
This Wanda statue was a bit more exposed in the final product than Billy’s:
What is the future of Billy from Scarlet Witch?
It’s almost a guaranteed conclusion that the world will see more Billy Maximoff in the MCU’s future. The real question is, what will it look like?
Jullian Hilliard made it clear on Twitter that he would like to reprise the role of Billy and even recently said in an interview with The Direct that “[he’s] ready for everything. In fact, he particularly named how he would do it “I love seeing some kind of children’s crusade adaptation.”
While Hilliard may want to return, will the actor even end up returning to the role? If a Young Avengers project is about to happen, which is the story the character would likely return to, chances are a new actor will be cast.
Billy would be a few years older by the time they’re on the superhero team, and the former actor behind Billy is a bit too young. However, it should be noted that nothing is set in stone – apart from these statues in Multiverse of Madnesssure.
