Black Panther is set to debut in Marvel Avengers later this month with the War for Wakanda expansion, and fans are excited to finally put the character to the test. Not only will Black Panther be fully playable, but fans will also experience the world of Wakanda and characters like Okoye, Klaw, and Shuri, to name a few. As the launch nears, Square Enix revealed several of the upcoming expansion’s Black Panther costumes, including a look taken straight from the comics, and we have your preview of all four costumes here.
First of all, the iconic outfit, which is an original design and is the costume you will start the expansion with. The costume features a mix of the more modern Panther costumes from the comics and movies and classic looks from its early days, and there’s a layer of armor on top of the fabric costume we’re more used to. This look is the one we saw in the trailers, but there are other looks to check out.
Next is the Most Dangerous Man outfit, which is a black style costume based on when Kasper Cole donned the Panther coat. He has a leather trench coat and material armor on his chest with black pants and a more angular mask, and you can check it out above.
Next is the King T’Challa outfit, which is another quirky design and brings out the more regal side of the character. It’s meant to evoke a regal feel while still being practical and comfortable for T’Challa to wear, although if things hit the fan it also has rings that can double as claws.
Then we have another comic book inspired costume in the Samisa-Sarki outfit. This look is a reinterpretation of Jack Kirby’s Black Panther and character c’s first appearances and has been highly demanded by the community. It has a short cape and multi-layered, heavily textured armor, and the mask is more animal than the other versions.
Finally, we have the Strategist outfit, which is another look inspired by the comics, specifically Black Panther: the fearless man # 513. In this book, he replaces Daredevil as the Defender of Hell’s Kitchen, and so it’s a more grounded, almost militaristic approach to costume. He’s got a military-style armored waistcoat and belt with plenty of pockets, and even his mask looks like something you’d see from a special ops team. I still have the claws.
