Arlington has just crossed the 50% mark.
New figures released today by the Arlington County Elections Office show that 85,776 votes have already been cast in the upcoming November 3 election. This represents over 50% of active voters in the county, and more than twice the advance and postal votes of the entire record-breaking 2016 presidential election.
This is also an increase from the 30% of early votes and participation in the postal ballot on October 16, the day before. four other early voting locations open.
Gretchen Reinemeyer, Chief Electoral Officer of Arlington, said her office encourages Arlington residents to keep voting early.
“The Voter Registration and Elections Office encourages voters to take advantage of one of our five early voting sites by Saturday, October 31,” Reinemeyer told ARLnow today. “This is the last day to vote in advance.
